Sacha Bancroft Cooke
Director and founding partner
Born and raised in the English countryside, Sacha is the mother of three girls. She resided in Spain from 2002 until 2014. Educated at the prestigious Sant Mary’s Ascot boarding school, Sacha has a degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics from Cambridge University. After 6 years as a sales director for an international online marketing company, Sacha together with her Spanish husband created ninetonine kids, a company dedicated to selling designer furniture for both babies and children worldwide.
A few years later, Sacha set up a successful, unique and exclusive summer camp “English Country House Camp” in the English countryside, aimed at girls between the ages of 8 and 14. This camp, along with her experience with French exchanges, and several au pairs as a youngster, as well as her studies in Madrid as a teenager, was the seed from which ninetonineworld: connecting cultures, differently.
María de Ascanio
Director and founding partner
Originally from the Canary Islands, a turning point in her education was when she decided to spend a year in the English countryside, in the county of Cheshire, at the end of high school, to improve her English, before obtaining a degree in Business Administration from the University of Manchester, and then moving to London to work in a multinational company. It was there that he met Sacha Bancroft, before moving to Madrid, where he has worked in the commercial and finance department for several companies over the last 10 years. His experience in the English countryside has been the spark for what would become a lifelong passion for the English language and culture. He has no doubt that the most effective way to truly learn a language is through complete immersion in the culture of the country. Now back in Madrid, married with three children, this deep connection to the UK is reflected in the education of her young children who attend a British school in Madrid, and she takes every opportunity to immerse them in English culture and pass on her passion for the language and culture from an early age.

Passionate about the business world. Understanding how companies are managed, how they define their strategies and how they execute them is a constant in his daily learning. Throughout his professional career and occupying different positions, Raul has worked for companies of different sizes, both services and products, mainly in the health sector. The business development area is where he has accumulated the most experience, for him it is a discipline that requires a broad knowledge of all areas of the company, a 360º vision of the organization. Being bilingual in French and English and having lived in the USA and France, he has not only learned languages but has also been able to better understand multicultural environments. As an advisor to netoninineworld, his contribution is mainly strategic, challenging its status quo to raise its levels of excellence. “Contributing to the development of a company that puts our clients’ children at the center of everything it does is a huge responsibility,” says Raul.

Grace Galvin
International School Client Support Coordinator
Born in Windsor, she developed a love for languages very early in life. At the age of 10, despite having no prior knowledge of the language, she took a brave leap and relocated to France, where she attended a French curriculum school. This experience fostered resilience, adaptability, whilst also underscoring the importance of communication and the value of learning a new language.
Upon returning to the UK, she attended a British boarding school from the ages of 12 to 18, where she began learning Spanish as her third language. Currently, she is studying French and Spanish at the University of Exeter. Having recently completed a year abroad in France and Spain, she has been a member of the ninetonineworld team since March 2024.
As she looks forward to her final year at university, she remains enthusiastic about her role at ninetonineworld, continuing to inspire international students to take the leap and pursue their own learning adventures in the UK.
