What
you need
to know
Accommodations: your own room
Meals: included
Working hours per week: approx. 25-30 h per week
Length of a summer stay: 4-12 weeks
Length of a winter stay: 2-9 months
Babysitter service: 2 nights at least Pocket money: €80-100 per week
Days off: 1.5
Holidays: after 6 months, 1-2 weeks of paid holidays
Flights and travel expenses: paid by the au pair
Main tasks
- To wake the children up, help them get dressed and prepare breakfast
- To take the children to school and out-of-school activities and pick them up
- To teach them English or French in a playful way
- To play: with board games, handicrafts, cooking, making up stories…
- Outdoor activities: take them to the park, go for walks, do sports…
- To help the children with their homework
- To take the children to the beach / swimming pool (in summer)
Other tasks
- To prepare simple meals and help in the kitchen
- To wash, iron and put away the children’s clothes
- To keep the children’s rooms clean and tidy
- To keep your own room and bathroom clean and tidy
